For 10 days in June 2007, the Club had the pleasure of hosting Sarah Assem, a current World Champion in Kata.

Sarah arrived on Friday 22nd June and trained with the students who learnt a lot from her. Sarah obtained 3rd place in the last World Karate Championships in Limassol Cyprus in 2005, and another bronze medal in the last Junior and cadet .Turkey in October 2007. Although Sarah specialises in Shito-Ryu, it did not deter our students from learning from her as she is, really, world-class.

Sara travelled to Scotland for 2 days during her visit to train with Tommy Morris, World Chief referee.
